Dortmund defender Mathieu Debuchy is still struggling at the international level, with coach Jürgen Klopp looking to bring in a new left-back this summer.

It was Debuchy who missed the last game against Bayern Munich after suffering a knee ligament tear in his left knee.

He is still unsure if he'll be fit for Euro 2016, but Dortmund's sporting director Peter Bosz said: "His recovery is the most complicated and he will not return to play.

"It doesn't look good for him.

"He is in shock. I did not expect such a tragic injury, as I think he's a very nice person.

"We have to wait with him. We cannot rush him back."

Bosz added: "If this is the case, Mathieu will probably get injured in Germany next month - the next game or two - which would be great because he has an important match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

"He would have played as the first choice left-back but was left out because we needed him."

The Belgian has played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe and helped Belgium win a place at Euro 2016 and has the potential to be a future world class player.

Dortmund's sporting director Peter Bosz, pictured last year, did not expect to name Debuchy for Euro 2016 after being told he had had the injury that cost him the match against Bayern Munich

Former Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is another player who struggled to find first team football after injury last season.

The 27-year-old left on loan at Valencia, and in the two months since, has failed to get a chance in the senior team.

Bosz said: "I think we have been very happy. He was very strong in training and has a lot of quality, but was not in the top line."

He believes Aubameyang's situation isn't at the same level that some of his former club-mates will be this season - with Dortmund expecting to spend around £30million in the summer.

Search continues for missing canyoners in blueberry patch

DETROIT -- Two men have been arrested after their carjacked car was found in the wilderness near Fort Pointe State Park in southwest Michigan, the state police department announced Thursday.

Lt. Col. Dave Dombrowski with Michigan State Police confirmed that 20-year-old Christopher H. Deaton and 23-year-old Robert A. Cote were arrested Tuesday.

Both men have been charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, Dombrowski said. A search warrant affidavit in the case is scheduled for Wednesday in Muskegon.

He said both had recently been involved in a traffic accident in which one of the men was thrown into a ravine.

Deaton said his car was stolen when he and his friend went on a fishing trip around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

When his friend found the car, Deaton ran it away from the scene but found it abandoned near Fort Pointe State Park. He saw Cote sitting in the rear seat.

They quickly ran their vehicles into a nearby ravine and called law enforcement.

The two men called 911 and reported they had been carjacked at gunpoint from the scene, said Dombrowski.

Cote was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition and Deaton is in fair condition with undisclosed injuries, said Dombrowski.

Deaton has also been charged with one count of third-degree assault, a felony.
